Upbringing

Growing up in western Poland, we didn’t have much. Nonetheless, I always found a way to incorporate art into my daily routine. I was a crazy child; always climbing trees and putting together ridiculous outfits out of hand-me-downs and my mom’s accessories. My dad would let me paint murals on the side of my childhood home using wall paint he had left over from jobs.

After moving to the states in elementary school, my creativity blossomed even more. I was exposed to so many elements of pop culture that I didn’t have access to in Poland; ones that helped shape me and my future.

Going into young adulthood I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the arts. I was still the rebellious, non-conforming kid that loved to play with color and imagination… and definitely couldn’t sit through hours of lecture at a university.

Education

My love-affair with makeup started soon after graduating high school. To no one’s surprise, I decided to opt out of going to a traditional college and enroll in the Master Makeup Program at Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles. My time at the school taught me so much; beauty, special effects, hair styling, but most importantly that there were people out there with the same values and passions as mine that I could be inspired and motivated by. Upon completing the course I dove straight into what now is my dream career.

Experience

Almost a decade later, I still feel the same excitement and anticipation before every job as I did when I was just starting out. There’s something magical about the business. It always keeps me and my creativity on my toes.

In 2019 I reached a career milestone- I was granted membership to the Makeup Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Local 706. This achievement has helped propel my career more than I ever dreamed and I am forever grateful for the skills that I have gained along the way.

But a creative soul is never content. I am always finding new ways to educate myself, refine my craft, and build my business.
